The Impact of Transformational Leadership on the Helping Behavior of Hotel Employee

Abstract—This study of 228 subordinates, 57 supervisors from five-star hotels demonstrated that transformational leadership has positive effect on leader-member exchange (LMX) , team-member exchange (TMX) and helping behavior. LMX and TMX partially mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and helping behavior. Implications for theory and practice are discussed and further research directions are offered.
