J. Wanitwattanakosol and D. Pongpatcharatorntep

Abstract—East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) is an important corridor for economic cooperation program under the Great Mekong Sub-region. The main objective of this research is to analyze and benchmark the current status and visible short-run prospect of major regional cities. In-depth interview with experts and practitioners, site survey, questionnaires and information based on literature were used to collect information. These cities were selected from three perspectives and evaluated based on the stage of corridor development. This research found that each city was still at an early stage of the corridor development stages.

Index Terms—Benchmarking, east-west economic corridor, infrastructure, logistics strategy.
